Jenny Burroughs has worked in social work education for the
last 15 years. Prior to this she worked in public child
welfare, substitute care setting, a child nutrition
program, and recreation programs. Her work in the child
nutrition program was with several Native American tribes
in New Mexico. Her current research interests include
public child welfare administration, emotionally supportive
supervision, and vicarious traumatization in the workforce.
Her areas of interest include promoting social and economic
justice for disenfranchised populations, working with
diverse families and children, child welfare, child abuse
and neglect, and foster care and adoption.
