Lynne coordinates the MSW program, in addition to teaching in the areas of policy, practice. and intervention with loss and grief. She has over 25 years' direct practice experience in clinical services and supervision, administration, and in community development. in addition to her teaching. her interests include rural poverty, homelessness, community development, child abuse and neglect, and grant writing. Lynne is the faculty representative to the Radford Faculty Senate, where she is a member of the Resource Allocation Committee. She is also the representative to the Graduate Affairs Council.

While at the University of South Carolina, Lynne was director of the Returned Peace Corps Volunter Program. She co-wrote and directed the grant and program HABLA, that brought Spanish interpretation and translation services to the SC Department of Social Services and the SC Department of Health and Environmental Control. She was author of a $1.1 millon grant for the Allendale County School System to provide extensive Social Work services to one of the poorest countiies in that state.
