Rana teaches theory and practice, and her research interests are in the areas of ethics and field. She facilitated the university-community partnership which resulted in the development of the Children’s Advocacy Center housed within the School of Social Work. Prior to teaching, Rana was engaged in direct practice for 15 years, thirteen years in mental health settings (community mental health, private practice, adolescent psychiatric hospital, psychiatric clinic), and the last two years were spent developing a Victim/Witness program. She is committed to the students at the Abingdon campus.
